DCO and DataVaccinator to jointly enable cross-border data exchange
Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), the international multilateral organization that aims to enable digital prosperity for all by accelerating the inclusive growth of the digital economy and the software company DataVaccinator, international innovator in sovereign data sharing, have formalized their cooperation by signing an MoU at COMEX in Muscat.
Dr. Hajar El Haddaoui, the Director General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) explained: “Through this partnership, the DCO reaffirms its commitment to building a trusted, interoperable digital ecosystem across our Member States. Secure cross-border data exchange is a strategic enabler of inclusive growth, unlocking opportunities in healthcare, education, and trade. By combining innovation with forward-looking policies, we will deliver scalable models that protect sovereignty, ensure trust, and drive socio-economic development. DataVaccinator is an ideal partner in this effort, bringing world-class expertise in sovereign data sharing and a proven track record of innovation. Together, we are paving the way for a more connected, resilient, and inclusive digital economy.”
Kurt Kammerer, CEO of DataVaccinator emphasizes the value of data sharing for the DCO network with 16 Member States collectively representing more than $3.5 trillion USD in GDP and a population of over 800 million. “High-quality data is relevant for each Member State, and even more so if such data can be securely exchanged between organizations from other Member States for better cross-border collaboration. Resulting on-demand data pools will give deeper insights to the benefit of participating organizations and the region as whole. For DataVaccinator, the MENA region stands for growth as its countries adapt data technologies such as AI very fast, thus emerging as leading technology countries themselves”.
