The Product Requirements Document examines how digital technology can help detect, correct, and prevent the spread of misinformation online. While digital tools can identify false content at scale, ensuring timely and trusted delivery of corrections across diverse audiences remains a key challenge.

The main objective of this document is to define the functional and non-functional requirements for technology-driven misinformation correction tools (such as AI & GenAI based social bots), integrating cultural values to maximize acceptance and effectiveness.

The document contains a set of functional requirements along with evidence-based design principles for designing, and developing culturally aware, effective, and scalable Technology (e.g.,AI & GenAI) based fact-checking tools for automated online misinformation detection and correction (e.g., social bots).
