To support countries in their AI journey, DCO has developed the AI-REAL Toolkit: AI Readiness to Empowerment, Adoption, and Leadership Toolkit Guide – a strategic resource designed to evaluate a nation’s existing AI capabilities and provide tailored guidance for AI adoption in both the public and private sectors. The AI Readiness Assessment Toolkit is a key component of the broader DCO AI Toolkit Initiative, which aims to expedite AI adoption across Member States.
The Toolkit Guide evaluates current AI capacities across five critical pillars: 1) Government strategies, policies, and regulations, 2) Technology Advancement & Readiness, 3) Data & Infrastructure, 4) Economic Impact of AI, and 5) Skills and Talent. This assessment provides a clear view of strengths and areas for improvement. By evaluating these critical aspects, countries worldwide, including DCO Member States can gain insights into their strengths and challenges, allowing them to develop customized national AI strategies that align with their priorities. The assessment is informed by extensive research, benchmarking against leading AI nations, and expert feedback, ensuring its relevance and applicability.
