DSA Project Manager
Job Purpose
The DSA Youth Engagement Stream Manager is responsible for leading and managing the youth engagement stream within the DCO Digital Space Accelerator (DSA). This role involves coordinating with youth organizations and stakeholders to ensure active participation in DSA activities, organizing events and initiatives targeted specifically at youth engagement, and managing DSA topics that do not require physical roundtables. The DSA Youth Engagement Stream Manager will work closely with the DSA Program Manager to ensure synergy across all DSA topics and activities. In addition to support on any needed related activities of the main DSA.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Youth Engagement:
– Develop and implement strategies to actively engage youth in DSA activities.
– Identify and collaborate with youth organizations, networks, and stakeholders to ensure their participation in DSA initiatives.
– Organize events, workshops, webinars, and other activities targeted specifically at youth engagement.
– Create and maintain a database of youth stakeholders and participants. - DSA Topic Management:
– Take responsibility for managing DSA topics that do not require physical roundtables.
– Work closely with DSA Program Manager to ensure effective coordination and execution of DSA initiatives.
– Coordinating with DCO DSA leads to develop and implement DSA activities.
– Monitor and track progress on DSA topics, ensuring that objectives are met within the specified timelines. - Communication and Collaboration:
– Collaborate with the DCO General Secretariat team to share initiative outcomes and gather feedback from stakeholders.
– Communicate regularly with DSA program manager, DSA leaders, and other needed stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination of activities.
– Represent the DSA youth stream at relevant events, conferences, and meetings related to youth engagement. - Documentation and Reporting:
– Maintain accurate records of DSA activities, including youth engagement initiatives and DSA topic management.
– Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate the impact and outcomes of DSA initiatives to stakeholders.
– Provide input for the development of DSA publications, including reports, policy briefs, and other knowledge products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., international relations, political science, communications, public policy, or a related field). Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in youth engagement or a related field.
- Experience working with youth organizations, networks, and stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications
