Funding & Commercialization Director
Job Purpose
The Director will participate in a comprehensive leadership role upholding a full set of responsibilities including global fundraising strategy, donor/philanthropic engagement, financial strategy and budgeting, and personnel oversights for the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) to secure sustainable funding for digital transformation projects aligned with DCO’s mission.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Fundraising and Strategic Philanthropy
- Develop strategic donor engagement plans to secure long-term financial commitments.
- Spearhead global fundraising campaigns identifying and cultivating potential donors and philanthropic partners.
- Design campaigns effectively communicate DCO’s impact to global audiences.
- Donor Management and International Relations
- Implement sophisticated strategies to steward and strengthen existing donor relationships.
- Expand DCO’s global presence by engaging key stakeholders internationally.
- Represent DCO professionally at forums, advocating for funding needs.
- Strategic Financial Leadership
- Formulate comprehensive financial strategies supporting organizational sustainability.
- Assess and implement optimized funding models complying with regulations.
- Integrate new innovative practices enhancing funding effectiveness.
- Budget Management and Fiscal Oversight
- Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting and variance analysis.
- Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Translate complex financial data into impactful communications.
- Team Leadership and Performance Management
- Mentor and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Provide coaching, set goals and create professional development plans.
- Develop and monitor KPIs, using data to drive strategic improvements.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, International Relations, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is often preferred.
- At least 15 years of experience in a leadership role within fundraising, financial management, or donor relations, ideally within international organizations, nonprofits, or governmental entities.
- Ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans that align with organizational goals.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Experience & Skills
